How online ratings work
Play someone online from a game’s page and the result is rated with the Elo system used in chess: win and your rating goes up, lose and it goes down, by more if you beat a stronger player. Your first 20 rated games move faster so you find your level quickly. Draws count as half a win.
You need five rated games in a game to appear on its board. Games against friends and the computer don’t change your rating. Tap any player to see their profile and their rating curve.
